Me Time Monday Linky Party

http://oneextradegree.blogspot.com/2014/06/me-time-monday-linky-par-tay.html

Yay, I'm linking up with Amanda over at One Extra Degree for a much needed linky party "Me Time Monday"!

I think the phrase "Me Time" is said way more than I actually get to do it.  As soon as I read about this linky I was totally on board! It's been a while since I've blogged.....I know....I simply ran out of time and not only did I run out of time for myself but time for the extra things I enjoy too like blogging. So this is the perfect opportunity to get back to what I love.

I'm on my 2nd week of summer vacation and just returned from the beach for some much needed relaxation time with my family! So I'll do two "Me Times" in one.....

So this is a perfect example of relaxing and taking it all in after a long year of school....feet in the sand!! Time to reflect and time to sit and really think about nothing.

I love treasured memories like this one! I guess a little "Me Time" includes my family too. :)

This by far is my favorite picture....It proves that teenagers still love to hang out with their moms. LOL!

So what about today? What did I do to enjoy myself? Starting off with no alarm clock is a perfect way to begin my day. While the kids stay inside, I retreat to my favorite place of my house...my screened porch to drink coffee, read a bit of my devotional, and most of the time just sit and clear my mind. It's funny how many different bird sounds there are. I never realized! Oh wait, some of those sounds might be my kids aggravating one another inside.... Ha! I'll just continue to sit here and pretend. :)

Who am I kidding? This doesn't last too long with 3 kids. However, having just a few moments out on the porch is worth it. In fact....guess where I'm at now?

Okay, so I spend a lot of time on Pinterest.....Should I apologize? Ummmm....Nah! I am in a pinning mood lately for fashion...basically because I am challenged in that area. I pretty much have to see it on a mannequin to know what to put together. Sooooo sad. So I created a board to help me out. :)

Lastly, I'm trying to eat healthier, and I totally fell off the wagon during the last week of school as well as all through my Florida vacation. So, I started it up again this morning. I started reading a lot about clean eating and found  a great blogger called The Food  Babe. The main thing that I'm starting with is drinking a huge glass of warm lemon water in the morning before I eat anything. From what I understand it kick starts your liver and helps to rid you body of toxins.....and gives you a boost of energy. (I need that!) I've done this before I do really notice a difference. I am slowly trying to eat more organic but darn it....it's so expensive! I'd love to get a Vitamix though! I'm in love with juicing!!!

So what are some of my "Me Time Monday" goals?

1) Reading and reflecting each morning on my porch listening to nature!
2) Finding one new recipe each Monday to make that is "Clean"
3)Creating a Pinterest board for fun projects for the summer.

  5. The wedding we went to was obviously supremely costly, but whoever paid that got their money's worth in spades. The lighting and decoration was magical.
